Skip the crowds and “Follow That Dream” to your next adventure.  Experience the Shiny Crab, a funky-fun 1930s fishing cottage where old world charm meets new world creature comforts.  Enjoy the beautiful setting with nicely appointed amenities, one-of-a-kind artwork, a game room, and custom furnishings. The Shiny Crab is nestled in the historic town of Yankeetown, where Elvis filmed “Follow that Dream”.

It is close to town amenities and is a perfect mix of yesteryear and today. With an unbeatable location to the Gulf, springs, trails, and nearby historic towns, you and yours can have a memorable time staying on the grounds or day tripping to nearby attractions. Sip lemonade on the back porch as you watch your pups play in the fenced yard.

Two blocks from the Shiny Crab you are able to launch your boat or take in a meal at the world-renowned Blackwater Restaurant.  Enjoy a relaxing stroll or bike ride down the quiet streets or bring your golf cart as Yankeetown is a golf cart friendly community.

For the spring hoppers, you are about 10 minutes away from Crystal River where you can experience Hunter Springs, Three Sisters Springs or King’s Landing.  In the other direction, you are about 20 minutes from Rainbow Springs State Park and KP Hole depending on traffic.
